Description

At Verus, technology powers how we learn, grow, and perform. As our Learning and Development Technologist, you’ll be the driving force behind our digital learning systems and innovation — building the infrastructure that makes learning seamless, measurable, and future‑ready.

You’ll manage and optimize our Learning Management System (LMS), track performance analytics, and identify digital innovation across AI, video, and immersive learning. From automating data dashboards to developing VR/AR practice scenarios, you’ll turn ideas into experiences that make learning faster, smarter, and more impactful.

This role is perfect for a creative technologist who loves turning complexity into clarity — someone who bridges data and design, technology and learning. You’ll partner closely with instructional designers, facilitators, and leaders to bring modern tools and insights to every stage of the learning journey.

If you’re passionate about using technology to elevate learning — and you want to shape how innovation drives performance at a company leading the mortgage and capital markets space — this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Manage, optimize, and continuously improve the Verus Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure a smooth, scalable, and intuitive learner experience.
  • Build and maintain data dashboards, analytics, and reports to measure learning engagement, performance, and business impact.
  • Develop and integrate AI tools, video, and other digital technologies that enhance learning accessibility and efficiency.
  • Lead production of high‑quality video and multimedia content that brings Verus learning experiences to life.
  • Design and develop Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) practice simulations that prepare teams for real‑world challenges.
  • Partner with the Learning and Development Solutions Architect to ensure seamless alignment between design, technology, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, leaders, and facilitators to implement and support digital learning solutions.
  • Maintain integrations between the LMS and related HR, communication, and performance systems to streamline user experience.
  • Stay current on learning technology trends, recommending and piloting innovative solutions that strengthen Verus’s digital learning ecosystem.
  • Monitor and ensure data security, compliance, and system reliability across all learning platforms.
  • Support other L&D initiatives as needed, contributing technical insight and problem‑solving expertise.
Education and Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in Learning Technology, LMS Administration, or Digital Learning Innovation.
  • Proven track record managing LMS platforms (Cornerstone, Docebo, Workday Learning, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and technical skills — experienced in reporting, data visualization, and performance metrics.
  • Skilled with multimedia production tools (Camtasia, Adobe Premiere, Audition, or similar) and familiarity with SCORM/xAPI.
  • Experience developing or supporting AI‑based learning tools and immersive VR/AR learning experiences.
  • Ability to translate business needs into practical, technology‑enabled learning solutions.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills — able to bridge technical and creative perspectives.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A growth mindset and passion for emerging technologies that advance learning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Learning Technology, Instructional Design, Information Systems, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in financial services, mortgage, or capital markets industries.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Knowledge of accessibility and UX/UI principles in learning design.
