Data Platform Operations Engineer

Join our team as a Data Platform Operations Engineer. In this role you will deploy and maintain our Azure Data Landing Zone, ensuring the stability, performance and security of our data platform. Your work will enable data‑driven decision making across the organization.

• Automate the creation and upkeep of data platforms to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Provide primary support for implementing, upgrading, and maintaining data platform environments.
• Collaborate with data engineers and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
• Ensure adherence to security standards in partnership with IS&T Security Management.
• Analyze future capacity needs and develop tools to address potential challenges.

• Strong experience with Dev Ops and deploying services in Azure public cloud.
• Proficiency in provisioning infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and technical documentation skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of LAN and WAN networks.
• Flexibility to work outside standard business hours, including on‑call rotation participation.

• Experience with relational and No‑SQL databases, Databricks, and Synapse.
• Familiarity with Azure CLI and configuring Azure Monitoring.
• Experience working in agile/scrum teams and administering Oracle or Microsoft SQL Databases.
• Azure cloud certifications and experience setting up HIPAA compliant cloud services.
