Assistant Care Center Manager

We’re looking for an Assistant Care Center Manager to help lead daily operations at our Bloomington Care Center
. This is a key leadership role, supporting the Care Center Director and serving as the on-site lead while the Director is traveling between locations. You’ll help manage people, processes, and performance—ensuring that our standards of excellence and compassion are upheld every single day.

• Oversee day-to-day crematory and transfer care operations at the local care center
• Support and supervise a team of crematory operators, transfer specialists, and support staff
• Help with scheduling, training, coaching, and performance feedback
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety standards (OSHA), and quality control measures
• Maintain accurate documentation, permits, and compliance records
• Monitor facility conditions and coordinate maintenance as needed
• Communicate with funeral homes, care partners, and internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery
• Act as the primary on-site manager in the Director’s absence

• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Experience supervising teams or managing shift operations (funeral care or healthcare a plus)
• Calm under pressure and comfortable handling sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
• Detail-oriented with a focus on safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
• Ability to uphold high standards while fostering a respectful, collaborative team environment
