Operations Manager, Administrative Management
Mission of the Role
This role will be working 8am - 4:30pm at our Bloomington, MN Campus (across from Mall of America and the MSP Airport).
This position has primary responsibility for execution of all fulfilment center training and will maintain operational ownership of the new employee orientation for the team. This person will work closely with the fulfilment center supervisors and key members of the team to develop required materials needed for ongoing training and observation of fulfilment center skills and roles. They will train all newly hired individuals and those inducted through job rotation activities by ensuring that they comprehend fulfilment center processes.
They will observe the employees to determine the efficacy of training programs and ensure that any additional training requirements are fulfilled. This is a working level position and when training duties are low, and/or operational needs dictate, this position will be expected to perform materials handling tasks within the fulfilment center.
- Provide New Employee Training for positions within the Fulfillment Center, including department onboarding, procedures and processes, SAP, and safety.
- Assign new employees a department "Buddy" to assist with onboarding and manage that relationship.
- Serve as the team leader ensuring team coordination and consistent teamwork approach.
- Perform daily fulfilment center responsibilities with fellow fulfilment associates.
- Provide regular touch base with new employees at prescribed intervals to ensure employee has the support and information needed for a successful onboarding.
- Provide training validation checks with new employees at prescribed intervals to ensure employee is understanding and successfully completing the Processes they have been trained in.
- Perform regular observations for all employees on Fulfillment Center processes, procedures, and safety protocols and provide feedback and coaching to employees directly for any areas of concern. Escalate ongoing concerns or performance issues to the supervisor and/or manager.
- Support department management in developing warehouse processes and provide required periodic training to all department employees.
- In partnership with the Learning and Development team, participate in the continued development of training materials, training matrix, and the ongoing training plan and strategy.
- Act as a SME and first point of contact for the SAP logistics processes and elevate any issues to management or technical support.
- Promote an atmosphere that facilitates open and effective communication within the department.
- Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or required.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma required. Associates degree or equivalent Logistics experience preferred.
- 5+ years of direct shipping, receiving, pick/pack, warehouse, or production experience.

Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively through electronic means email/chat/etc.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- SAP experience preferred.
- Ability to keep track of and prioritize multiple projects.
- Ability to operate small packaging machinery.
- Requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and 75 pounds with a team.
- Ability and willingness to work alternative schedules including weekend, and on-call hours as needed.
- Legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Ability to work in a general office environment.
- Starting Base Annual Salary Range: $52,780 - $78,375
- Bonus Eligibility:
This role is not eligible for an annual bonus.
