Operations Manager – Manufacturing & Distribution

A national leader in industrial hydraulic solutions is seeking a highly capable Operations Manager to oversee the daily execution of a $200M+ manufacturing and distribution facility with over 150 team members. This is a pivotal role leading cross-functional teams in production, warehouse, planning, and customer delivery operations — all within a high-mix, high-volume environment.

The Operations Manager will serve as the site’s senior-most leader, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy while driving performance in safety, quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a well-established operation through its next phase of growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day plant operations including manufacturing, warehousing, planning, scheduling, and safety
• Own full P&L responsibilities and drive cost management, margin improvement, and labor productivity
• Champion Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives across all areas of the operation
• Oversee ISO 9001 quality compliance, internal audits, and process documentation
• Lead strategic planning and execution, aligning operations with sales and engineering to support customer delivery goals
• Manage ERP system utilization, S&IP processes, and KPI tracking for on-time delivery and inventory accuracy
• Direct and develop key department leaders including production, scheduling, warehouse, and administrative support
• Maintain site compliance with corporate policy, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Oversee facilities management, lease coordination, and site safety culture initiatives
• Foster a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Ideal Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years of progressive leadership in manufacturing or distribution environments
• Demonstrated experience in P&L ownership, ERP systems, and supply chain coordination
• Strong grasp of LEAN manufacturing, ISO 9001, and operational best practices
• Proven success coaching teams, improving KPIs, and aligning operations with business growth
• Ability to drive cultural change, improve performance metrics, and manage cross-functional departments
