The Buyer performs buying duties of products and supplies at the most favorable price consistent with quality, quantity, delivery and other factors per specifications for the manufacturing of aerospace products. Manages suppliers to ensure on time delivery of product that meets quality requirements.

- Purchase assigned parts and materials (raw & manufactured), using analysis tools provided, including an MRP system
- Monitor inventory levels and plan purchases to ensure on‑time delivery
- Continually review the overall “value” offered by existing suppliers
- Manage Key Performance Indicators (fill rate, OTD, etc.) and implement solutions to meet objectives
- Perform analysis of supplier performance to determine appropriate sourcing, placing purchase orders to ensure product flow
- Resolve issues with suppliers, including recovery from late orders and rejected product
- Contribute to management reports, including status of open purchase orders, backorder list, and supplier measurements
- Manage projects as assigned by the manager, working with peers in other departments
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or economics preferred
- 3-5 years directly related experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Excellent PC skills, including Excel, Outlook and ERP system experience
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills
- $70,000.00 to $85,000.00 annual salary
- 5% quarterly bonus potential
