RESPONSIBILITIESViden Marketing is seeking a skilled media buyer to plan, execute, and optimize offline media campaigns across TV, radio, and print. As one of the fastest-growing areas of our business, this role is a major opportunity to influence client performance, expand our broadcast capabilities, and contribute to Viden’s rapid growth. As a broadcast media buyer, you’ll be involved in the entire media buying process, from initial planning to final execution, for a segment of the overall buy or for a portfolio of client accounts.
Key areas of accountability include:
Media Strategy and Planning
- Collaborate with our Planning & Analytics Team to research and develop efficient media plans that will deliver ROI and results for our clients.
- Stay current on media trends, market shifts, inventory opportunities, and platform changes.
- Identify value opportunities such as fire sales, added-value packages, and underutilized inventory.
- Provide ongoing campaign analysis and recommendations aligned with client goals and budgets.
Media Buying and Negotiation
- Compare, negotiate, and secure rates with networks, stations, and publications to deliver the most efficient and effective buys.
- Execute buys and manage all aspects of the media reconciliation process.
- Oversee the traffic process to ensure correct spot delivery across all media outlets
Relationship Management
- Develop strong relationships with networks, stations, ownership groups, and print partners through consistent communication.
- Work closely with account teams to provide insights into media availability, performance, and market opportunities.
- Conduct periodic market trips to meet with key media partners and expand Viden’s network.
Data Management and Reporting
- Enter, organize, and manage orders and airings data.
- Use internal databases (CRM, buying) to manage contact information and enter notes regarding the status of relationship for each media contact.
Internal Support
- Work with the account and finance teams to approve invoices and ensure media spend is reconciled correctly.
- Help build and enhance media capabilities and internal processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Education and Experience
- College degree preferred, though equivalent experience in media buying is also valued.
- 2+ years of media buying or planning across linear TV (national and local), streaming TV, radio, or print for national and/or local clients.
- Proven track record of successful media buying or planning, with a strong understanding of campaign execution and performance.
- Proficient in Excel and comfortable with data-heavy workflows.
