Nursing Assistant Registered

Martin Luther Care Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Registered (CNA/NAR) to support our residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility (Transitional Care and Long‑term Care). This role provides hands‑on care and support services for our senior age patients at our spacious care center in Bloomington, MN.

This patient support position includes the following:

• 16 hours every two weeks, Day Shift, with every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) and holiday rotations
• Assisting residents based on individual care plans with personal cares such as bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, showers and responding to call lights
• Checking and recording vitals in line with the community patient care model
• Providing AM/PM/NOC care, including peri‑care and catheter care
• Turning, lifting or transferring residents with or without other persons/mechanical assistance
• Observing residents and reporting status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner
• Charting or documenting in electronic medical record system
• Seeking to resolve resident and family concerns
• Receiving and giving reports to appropriate staff during various times in the work shift
• Maintaining order and cleanliness in rooms and work areas, reporting malfunctioning equipment to maintenance, and answering phones in a timely manner

• Actively licensed Nursing Assistant, Registered (NAR) on the MDH Nursing Assistant Registry by start date, or a candidate who is hired into Ebenezer’s Nursing Assistant Course or Pre‑CNA job, with a 4‑month post‑hire period to become active on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.
• Ability to work with a diverse and geriatric population
• Effective and compassionate communication with residents and coworkers
• Experience as HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, or Resident Assistant
• Experience in a customer‑service setting
