As a Trailer Technician, you will complete DOT Inspections, aluminum welding of new tarps and cat walks, PM services, and various repairs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and DOT Inspections on trailers, trucks/vehicles, and related equipment
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, disassemble vehicles and examine parts for defects and excessive wear
  • Perform repair and customization work as assigned including routine maintenance, brake replacement/repair, suspension repair, electrical and pneumatic and hydraulic component troubleshooting and repair, trailer body repair including complete trailer rebuild
  • Provide after-sale services, such as component installation
  • Perform some fabricating, welding (stick, wire feed, braze, solder), cutting (gas, plasma, saws), riveting, and fiberglass repair
  • Communicate effectively with the service manager, service writer and customers about jobs in progress
  • Work efficiently and safely to provide the best service
  • CDL is a plus, but not required
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
Qualifications
  • Experience in trailer or vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Ability to perform welding and fabricating tasks as listed in responsibilities
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
