Job Description About the RoleThis is a hands-on role with real variety and real ownership. No two days look alike — a leaking faucet and a run of burnt-out ballasts in the morning, a scissor lift and a carpentry repair in the afternoon. You'll work out of an assigned home building close to where you live, covering a portfolio most likely in the north metro, and it's common to be in several buildings in a single day.
You'll run your own day. You decide how to prioritize the board, you diagnose the problem, and you see the fix through. If you like working with your hands, solving a different problem every few hours, and owning the outcome without someone looking over your shoulder, this is a good fit.
You don't need to have done all of it before. If you have a handyman, building maintenance, or skilled trades background, we will train you on the rest. No license required.
Compensation & ScheduleBase pay $24.00 – $28.00 / hour
On-call $100 per weekend on rotation, Friday through Sunday
Schedule Full-time, Mon – Fri, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., with occasional early starts and after-hours work
Home base An assigned building based on where you live
Vehicle Company vehicle provided for use during work hours
Tools Truck stock provided, plus shared tools available in the warehouse
A predictable weekday schedule is rare in this trade. No rotating nights, no split shifts — you're home by 4:00 most days.
What You'll Do- Travel between the buildings in your portfolio, often several in a single day, to assess and resolve facility issues on site
- Use our ticketing system to plan and prioritize your day, responding to all requests within 24 hours
- Handle plumbing repairs — faucets, fixtures, and leaks
- Complete light electrical work — switches, outlets, lamps, ballasts, and drivers
- Troubleshoot, service, and maintain HVAC systems
- Perform carpentry and painting across buildings, grounds, and interiors, plus preventative maintenance on buildings and equipment
- Safely operate a man lift, scissor lift, forklift, skid steer, and snowplow as the work requires
- Coordinate with CBRE and other third-party facilities partners, directing their day-to-day work in our buildings
You won't be doing all of this alone. We work with CBRE and other partners, and you'll direct that work rather than carry every job yourself.
What You BringWe'll train the right person. A handyman, building maintenance, or skilled trades background is what we're really after. No license required, and you don't need every skill on this list on day one.
Required
- Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Flexibility and availability to participate in the on-call rotation
Nice to have
- HVAC or boiler certification
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance
- Carpentry skills
- Experience operating a forklift, skid steer, man lift, or snowplow
- Willingness to obtain certifications as appropriate — we'll pay for them
This is an active role and you'll be on your feet most of the day.
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds up to 25 feet in distance, with occasional lifting up to 70 pounds
- Working on ladders and roofs, and in rare cases, high or precarious places
- Outdoor work in all temperatures and seasons
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, pushing, pulling, and driving between sites
- Exposure to noise, vibration, paint, dust, exhaust fumes, other hazardous and non-hazardous materials, and extreme heat and/or cold
- Using a computer for day-to-day tasks and electronic technology required by OEMs
- Do The Right Thing —…
