Webstaurant Store is looking for dedicated and hardworking candidates that have leadership qualities to join our growing company as an Assistant Manager. The leaders and managers within the Distribution Center play a key part of growing our business and serving the purchasing needs of food service professionals worldwide.
ResponsibilitiesAs an Assistant Manager, you will support the Department Manager in the following:
- Develop practical solutions to problems without sacrificing quality
- Meet department’s daily, weekly and monthly goals of the distribution center
- Achieve high performance standards while coaching and training employees on best practices of our business
- Analyze opportunities for growth, cutting costs, reducing damages and improving efficiencies
- Continually improve productivity targets and process improvements
- Lead employees to fulfil their potential

Physical Requirements- Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in operations leadership.
- Experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred.

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence.
- Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations.
- Ability to work off-shift as required to respond to urgent needs.
