Process Technician – 2nd Shift
Job SummaryThe Process Technician is responsible for setting up and maintaining production equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations. The role works closely with production teams to keep equipment functioning properly and production running efficiently, while adhering to Altor Solutions’ safety, quality and production standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Develop the molding process for each tool to run optimum cycle times while producing high‑quality products that meet customer standards.
- Improve product quality through enhancements to the molding process.
- Reduce costs by decreasing scrap rates on each tool.
- Work with Operations and Engineering to recommend details of new tooling construction (e.g., filling device, ejector type, side selection, bypass location, draft, and other mold cavity features).
- Partner with Operations and Engineering to propose modifications to tools to improve the molding process.
- Assist operators with packaging concerns.
- Set up and maintain production equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
- Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and efficiently.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure equipment is set up to meet production needs.
- Perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Follow plant‑specified job specifications, task lists, and complete all required paperwork.
- Conduct yourself safely and adhere to all required safety protocols and policies, including lockout/tagout.

Education and Experience- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3–6 months of relevant manufacturing experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior work experience in mold changing with knowledge of the EPS molding process required.
- Experience with reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge or experience with using ERP/MRP systems.
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
