Overview

The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Sociology position for the Behavioral Science Department, intended to begin on August 15, 2026.

Essential Functions
  • Teaching four (4) courses per semester, such as, but not limited to, Introduction to Sociology and Global Community:
    Cultural Diversity & Interaction. This is a face-to-face program, but there may be opportunities to teach some online courses.
  • Participating in department and college service, such as, but not limited to, collecting data from courses for program assessment, attending department meetings, and representing the department at various university functions.
  • Engaging in sociological and/or scholarship of teaching and learning research and professional development activities.
Minimum Requirements

Prior to the effective date of the appointment, all of the following are required:

  • A Ph.D. in Sociology or a related field
  • One (1) academic year of collegiate teaching experience in Sociology or related field
