Job Title: Senior Wireless Network Engineer
Location: Cincinnati, OH, Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL or Boca Raton, FL (4 days onsite)
Job DescriptionThe Wireless network engineer is responsible for the system’s overall infrastructure, including engineering, implementation integration, technical services, and support. This role will design, implement/install, maintain, administer wireless & infrastructure systems, including hardware and various network configurations. The technology engineer will mentor and coach others to establish processes and procedures for support. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Qualifications- 5-10 years’ experience managing and maintaining wireless networks
- Wireless Networking Protocols:
Proficiency in wireless networking protocols such as IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc. - RF Fundamentals:
Understanding of radio frequency (RF) principles, including propagation, modulation, interference, and signal attenuation. - Network Design:
Ability to design, deploy, and optimize wireless networks to meet performance, coverage, and capacity requirements. - Configuration and Management:
Hands‑on experience with configuring and managing wireless infrastructure components, including access points, controllers, and network management systems. - Performance Optimization:
Skills in optimizing wireless network performance through techniques such as channel planning, roaming optimization, and Quality of Service (QoS) configuration. - Analytical
Skills:
Strong analytical skills to interpret network performance data, troubleshoot issues, and make data‑driven decisions for network optimization. - Communication:
Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross‑functional teams, document network designs and configurations, and provide technical support to end‑users.
