We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to support industrial automation and manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on role focused on programming, troubleshooting, controls integration, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC, HMI, and VFD systems
- Support controls integration across automated manufacturing equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical and controls-related equipment issues
- Work with robotics, conveyors, vision systems, and automated inspection equipment
- Maintain and update electrical schematics and controls documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance
- Assist with automation upgrades and continuous-improvement projects
- Work collaboratively with engineering, maintenance, and production teams
- 5+ years of controls engineering or industrial programming experience
- Strong PLC, HMI, and VFD programming and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with mechatronics, automation, or controls integration
- Strong manufacturing-equipment troubleshooting ability
- Experience with robotics, conveyors, vision systems, or automated inspection equipment
- Ability to read and maintain electrical schematics
- Lean or Six Sigma experience is preferred
