What You’ll Do:
The primary function of this role is to triage, diagnose, and remediate Kroger's network systems and services, including the Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), and customer‑facing Wi‑Fi infrastructure. You will maintain overall stability, security, and sustainability of the network and collaborate directly with end users, technology partners, and internal teams while demonstrating Kroger’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Essential Job Functions:
- Leverage experience with WAN, LAN, and WLAN infrastructure to triage and remediate wireless incidents.
- Serve as the technical subject‑matter expert on Kroger’s customer‑facing network environments and operations.
- Apply knowledge of wide‑area routing protocols and local‑area switching protocols to resolve WAN and LAN alerts, ensuring SLA‑defined MTTR and availability targets are met.
- Provide first‑ and second‑level network operations support for all WAN, LAN, and wireless incidents (including experience with SDWAN platforms).
- Triage and remediate VSAT, cellular, wired, and wireless incidents across the network.
- Escalate high‑priority incidents promptly to the appropriate Level 3 network team.
- Facilitate and assist with critical network incident conference calls.
- Create and review network device and system change procedures and documentation.
- Perform proactive maintenance on routers, switches, access points, and other network equipment.
- Support implementation and assistance for new network devices.
- Utilize Service Now, What Up Gold, and Arista/Aruba networks for ticketing and monitoring.
- Assist Enterprise Technology Managers (ETMs) with standard network requests for new store stand‑up and installations.

Minimum Position Qualifications /
Education Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in network technologies.
- 3–5 years experience with Wi‑Fi and wireless infrastructures.
- Knowledge of network routing and switching protocols.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Experience troubleshooting routers and HP switches (plus).
- Familiarity with SDWAN platforms.
- Experience with Extreme Networks or Aruba access points (plus).
- Highly self‑motivated and capable of working independently or in a team.
