The Lead Dev Ops Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, automating, and operating the scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure that powers build, test, and release workflows for the NGPOS program. The role ensures high availability, fast delivery velocity, strong governance, and seamless collaboration across engineering, quality, and IT teams. This position is both highly technical and highly collaborative, driving modernization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the Dev Ops ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the planning, provisioning, installation, configuration, maintenance, and day‑to‑day operations of the hardware and software infrastructure required to support build, validation, and release workflows.
- Design scalable, modular, and high‑availability infrastructure capable of supporting expanding product lines, larger codebases, and increased development activity.
- Establish capacity‑planning models and proactively manage infrastructure growth to prevent bottlenecks.
- Implement disaster‑recovery and business‑continuity capabilities across build, test, and release infrastructure.
- Drive adoption of Infrastructure‑as‑Code and other modern automation frameworks.
- Build robust telemetry, logging, and monitoring systems to ensure real‑time visibility into pipeline performance, infrastructure health, and system reliability.
- Define and track KPIs and SLIs for build times, success rates, pipeline reliability, system utilization, and deployment throughput.
- Proactively identify risks, performance degradations, and architectural weaknesses; lead root‑cause analysis and remediation.
- Partner closely with development, QA, architecture, IT, and product teams to define infrastructure requirements and deliver tooling that accelerates their workflows.
- Facilitate cross‑team alignment by establishing shared standards, documentation, and onboarding processes for Dev Ops tools and pipelines.
- Provide mentorship, leadership, and technical guidance to Dev Ops and Infrastructure engineers.

- 8+ years in Dev Ops, Infrastructure Engineering, SRE, or similar field
- Expertise with CI/CD tools such as Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, or Git Lab CI
- Strong proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Bicep, ARM)
- Experience with Linux/Windows systems, virtualization, or containers
- Familiarity with enterprise‑grade observability platforms
- Experience in large‑scale, regulated enterprise environments preferred
