Overview
We are seeking a Cath Lab Technician (also referred to as a Catheterization Laboratory Technician or Non‑Certified Cath Lab Tech). The technician supports physicians and nurses during cardiac catheterization and invasive cardiovascular procedures by assisting with patient preparation, sterile setup, equipment operation, monitoring, and post‑procedure support.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients, procedure rooms, and supplies for Cath Lab cases, including patient positioning, equipment setup, and ensuring all catheters, wires, and procedural supplies are available and ready for use.
- Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to infection control and radiation safety protocols, ensuring compliance with departmental and hospital safety standards throughout procedures.
- Assist physicians and clinical staff during procedures by passing instruments, managing supplies, and anticipating procedural needs in a fast‑paced environment.
- Monitor patient condition and operate imaging or hemodynamic monitoring equipment under supervision, reporting changes in vital signs or patient status to the care team.
- Complete procedural documentation, room turnover, and equipment cleaning, ensuring accurate records, efficient case flow, and readiness for subsequent procedures.
- Requires previous experience assisting with scrub procedures and monitoring data, preferably in a Cardiovascular Lab.
- BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and must be maintained current.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Cardiovascular technician training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring.

9‑hour shifts – 7:30am to 5:00pm. - Location:
St. Mary’s Medical Center – Blue Springs, MO.
