We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist, Certified or Registered (CRT) / Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) (internally referred to as our Respiratory Care Practitioner) y's Medical Center (SMMC), a member of Prime Healthcare.

As a Respiratory Therapist (RT) you will, under the direction and authorization of the Medical Director and Cardiopulmonary Director/Manager, perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician.

• Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician.
• Emphasis on assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care, considering age and population specific needs and requirements of the patient.
• In the absence of a supervisor, may act as team lead, responsible for the section or department during their shift.
• Evaluation, diagnosis, and care of patients with cardiopulmonary problems.
• Patients include those with emphysema, asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, cardiac failure, and chest trauma.

• State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and/or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• ACLS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current
• PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current
• High School Diploma or equivalent

• 2 years experience as an RCP
• NRP certified
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science Degree
