Overview
We are seeking a Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN), sometimes referred to as a Telemetry RN or Tele RN. A Tele RN specializing in attending to patients with cardiac monitoring on our telemetry units. The Tele RN will monitor and interpret patient vital signs (heart rate, rhythm, respiration, blood pressure, oxygen saturation) and provide real‑time data for early detection of changes. This position is on a per‑diem basis (PD/PRN as needed).

- Assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall health status, to create individualized care plans.
- Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment, allowing for remote monitoring of heart rates and rhythms.
- Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring results and symptomatology.
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, including intravenous medications, and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
- Provide hands‑on care to patients, including wound care, administering treatments, assisting with activities of daily living, and providing emotional support.
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions, medications, and treatments, and provide guidance on self‑care practices and lifestyle modifications in the Telemetry Unit.
- Respond quickly to changes in patient conditions throughout the shift and address any concerns to the physician as soon as possible.
- Responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- Previous acute‑care hospital experience preferred.
- Ventilator management experience preferred.
- Medical‑Surgical Nurse‑Board Certified (RN‑BC) or similar certification preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
