Overview

We are seeking a Telemetry CNA
, sometimes referred to as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). The Certified Nursing Assistant in our telemetry unit plays an important role in the care of patients who require continuous monitoring of their heart and vital signs. Our telemetry units typically care for patients with cardiac conditions, post-surgical needs, or other medical issues requiring close monitoring. Our CNAs provide essential support to patients under close cardiac monitoring.

Employment Type: Full Time

Shifts Available: Nights

Hours: 12-Hour shifts – 7:00am to 7:00pm

Location: St. Mary's Medical Center - Blue Springs, MO

Responsibilities

The Nurse Aid in the MED / SURG / Telemetry Department is an unlicensed assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
  • Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
  • Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
Facility Specific Requirements
  • Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current per facility requirement.
