Position: Cook $18-21.50/hr (Gig Shift)

Overview

Arrow Senior Living is hiring a Cook (PRN/Flexible) at the Parkway Senior Living location in Blue Springs, Missouri. The position is located at 550 NE Napoleon Dr, Blue Springs, MO 64014 and is open to work in the Blue Springs, Lee’s Summit, Olathe, Kansas City, and Liberty areas.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes, providing exceptional quality food that is attractively presented in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure health protocols are always followed, including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and proper food temperatures.
  • Familiarize yourself with residents and their preferences and needs, and participate in resident orientations.
Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
  • Current Food Handlers Card as specified per the Department of Health.
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in leadership, training, and supervision.
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills with management, professional, and support staff.
  • Active and able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in extreme temperatures, including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers.
  • Ability to work primarily indoors, but also available for outdoor events.
  • Criminally cleared.
