We are seeking a Public Safety Officer, sometimes referred to as a Hospital Security Officer or Healthcare Security Officer. The Public Safety Officer will perform a range of security duties including electronic surveillance and routine manual patrols to ensure the safety of the facility. The Public Safety Officer will coordinate responses to incidents involving patients, staff, and visitors while enforcing policies and procedures fairly and consistently.

The Public Safety Officer will collaborate with the Environment of Care Committee to support a multidisciplinary approach to safety and security at our hospital.

Shift Available: Days

Employment Type: Full-time

Hours: 5:30am to 4:00pm

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding while promoting dignity and independence.
• Support mobility and rehabilitation exercises under therapist guidance to improve strength, balance, and coordination safely.
• Monitor and promptly report changes in patients’ physical and emotional conditions to nursing staff for timely intervention.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment by organizing patient areas and removing hazards to prevent injury and infection.
• Assist with positioning and transferring patients using safe techniques to prevent pressure ulcers and promote circulation.
• Encourage and motivate patients to actively participate in their rehabilitation programs by providing emotional support and positive reinforcement.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• State Guard Certification Registration Card.

• State Driver's license upon hire.
• Current DMV H6 report or Driving History Report.

• Experience in Healthcare security or related field preferred.
