Job Summary

A leading Bluefield hotel is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Maintenance Technician for our location in Bluefield, WV. This is a full-time, hourly position with great potential for growth and advancement. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of our facility and equipment. Your attention to detail, ability to troubleshoot and problem‑solve, and excellent time management skills will be essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and changing air filters
  • Conduct inspections of the facility and equipment to identify issues and potential hazards
  • Perform repairs and troubleshoot issues with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for larger repairs and projects
  • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and storage area
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from management and staff
  • Adhere to all safety standards and policies
  • Communicate effectively with co‑workers, management, and vendors
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or restaurant setting
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
  • Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Availability to work weekends and evenings as needed
