Teacher Assistant

North Star Academy, a free public charter school located in Bluffdale, Utah, is now accepting applications for a part-time Teacher Assistant. This position will approximately work 24 hours each week, Monday ‑ Friday.

North Star Academy exists to engage and inspire students to achieve their highest potential through a safe, challenging, and individualized learning environment.

• Assist the certified teacher in planning and delivering instructional activities.
• Provide support to students in classroom and learning settings.
• Help maintain a positive, orderly environment while following school policies.
• Assist with grading, data entry, and classroom organization.
• Observe and support student learning and social interactions.

• Passed the PRAXIS exam, or possess an associate's degree (or equivalent credits toward a bachelor's degree).
• Prior teaching experience preferred.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Pass a background check in accordance with Utah's Department of Public Safety requirements.
• Able to work part‑time under the direction of a certified teacher.
