Installation Technician, Field/Service Technician
Position Summary
Anistar is seeking Lead Low Voltage Technicians for a long‑term contract opportunity to provide assistance with the installation, termination, and testing of various types of voice and data cables.
The ideal candidate will work under general supervision, maintain a highly analytical and problem‑solving mindset while working as a team player, and must possess the following:
Technicians with exposure to various cables including twisted pair, coax, power‑limited tray, stranded, solid‑conductor low‑voltage, CAT‑5, CAT‑6, single‑mode and multi‑mode fiber optic cables. Installation includes pulling, placement, termination, testing, and labeling. Knowledge of telecom systems, TCP/IP networks, CCTV security, access control, and wireless solutions. BICSI certification (current or past) is a plus but not required. We are looking for individuals who pay attention to detail and work efficiently under minimal supervision.
Job Responsibilities- Leading crews of 3+ technicians
- Fiber splicing and terminating
- Conduit experience (running and bending) a plus
- Pull, terminate, test – CAT‑5, CAT‑6
- Install J Hooks
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to climb ladders and insert cable in access points
- Lift 50+ lbs
- Must be able to follow directions and learn
- Must have prior commercial new construction experience
