The Certified Medical Assistant assists the day to day operations keeping the health center running efficiently and effectively. Completes triage and patient preparation for the providers. Under the direct supervision of a provider, performs medical and clerical tasks such as medication administration, venipuncture, medical refills, and transcribe orders.

Responsibilities include:

• SQ and IM medication administration.
• Triages appropriately with gathering the expected data: weight, height, BP, social/family, medical histories. Medication and allergy reconciliation.
• Preps exam rooms for in office procedures and assists provider when warranted.
• Venipuncture and lab specimen processing.
• Calls patients for normal test results, assists with calls regarding refills. Returns calls to patients for providers.
• Monitors and list needs of medical supplies. Pays attention to expiration dates. Inventories new orders and restocks closet and exam rooms. Maintains equipment and medication logs. Order entry.

Requirements:

• Certificate of Medical Assistant
  - Required
• 1-2 Years of experience - Preferred
• License & Certification:
  Certified Medical Assistant - Required
