• Administer medications to the residents in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
• Provide physical and psychosocial care to all residents, promoting dignity, choice and individuality.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, personal care, comfort and maintain a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of residents.
• Assist in the preparation for admission of patients.
• Assist and accompany patients in admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
• Provide post-mortem care.
• Provide morning care: bed bath, oral hygiene, combing hair, back care, dressing, changing bed linen, cleaning overbed table, straightening room, and general care as necessary throughout the day.
• Provide evening care: hands/face washing, oral hygiene, special skin care, freshening linen, cleaning overbed table, straightening room, and general care as needed.
• Perform all tasks/procedures included on assignment or report to charge nurse any tasks not completed.

• Satisfactory completion of medication technician skills competency checklist.
• Must obtain required medication technician training certificate.
• Experience working in Assisted Living preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
• Understands and practices universal precautions with all patients.

• Must be certified nursing assistant or currently enrolled in a nurse aide training program.
• Attend in-service programs, as assigned, to learn procedures and develop skills and meet state requirements.
