Coastal Security Services, Inc. (CSSI) is a veteran-owned and woman-owned security company providing protective services, investigations, training, and security technology across multiple states, including South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Texas, Iowa, Nebraska, and Kentucky. Services range from armed and unarmed officers, mobile patrols, campus security, and event protection to private investigations, dispatch, remote camera viewing, and mobile camera trailers. CSSI also operates a Training Academy with in-house officer training, live-fire range, de-escalation instruction, and CPR/AED, all guided by a mission to protect what matters and provide peace of mind.

We are hiring Security Officers in Bluffton, SC for both full-time and part-time schedules. You will be assigned to client sites in and around Bluffton based on your availability and experience.

• Control access at gates, lobbies, and entry points; verify credentials and manage visitors
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and medical emergencies
• De-escalate disruptive situations and coordinate with site staff and local law enforcement
• Write accurate daily activity reports and incident reports in our mobile reporting system
• Represent the client and CSSI with a professional appearance and attitude on every shift

Full-time and part-time positions available. Shifts include days, evenings, and overnights.
Weekend availability is required.

Starts at $18.00 per hour, with higher rates at select sites. Overtime is paid at 1.5x for all hours over 40 in a work week.

• 18 years of age or older
• Available to work weekends
• Ability to obtain SC SLED Unarmed Security Officer Registration under CSSI
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Able to stand, walk, and patrol for a full shift
• Clear verbal and written communication

• Current or prior SC Security Officer Registration
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience
