General Summary:

The Electrician reports to a Superintendent or designated person and performs functions in accordance with company policies to help achieve project goals. Work involves installation, alterations, additions, and repairs of electrical systems and equipment within the electrical construction industry.

Preferred Job Skills:

• In-depth commercial or industrial electrical construction experience
• Ability to install conduit, wire, and cable systems
• Ability to install and terminate panels, switchboards, and electrical equipment
• Basic math skills, dependable transportation, willingness to commute to remote sites, and effective communication skills

Mandatory Hiring Requirements:

• References, Background Check, Drug Screen, Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to safety protocols
• Install electrical systems according to standards and plans
• Coordinate with other trades
• Read and interpret construction drawings and details
• Manage materials, tools, and equipment
• Supervise Electrician Helpers and Apprentices
• Install conduit, wiring, panels, fixtures, and equipment accurately
• Test and troubleshoot electrical systems
• Complete documentation

Position Requirements:

• Valid state driver’s license
• Relevant certifications
• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum 6 years electrical experience preferred
• OSHA 10-hour training

Working Conditions:

• Work in all weather conditions
• Utilize construction site facilities and personal tools
• Work at heights and in confined spaces
• Wear PPE as required
• May require overtime, night shifts, weekends, and travel

Physical/Mental Functions:

• Identify wire colors
• Read schematics and drawings
• Use hand and power tools safely
• Operate construction equipment
• Lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and perform repetitive tasks
