Temporary staff bank contract until 30/09/2026.

Full‑time hours available (37 hours)

We are looking to recruit an Admin Assistant to join our Adult Services Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Team on a temporary basis.

About the role

You will provide a high‑quality administrative and clerical support service to a busy, multi‑disciplinary team. This is a varied role where you’ll play a key part in supporting day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide clerical and typing support, including maintaining databases and processing information
  • Handle telephone and reception duties, demonstrating sensitivity and professionalism when dealing with callers
  • Carry out general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and processing financial documentation (including petty cash)
  • Support the wider administrative team, including providing cover when required (this may involve travelling to other local sites)
  • Maintain and order stationery and office supplies
  • Undertake other duties appropriate to the nature and grade of the post
About you
  • Previous administrative experience is essential
  • Experience of handling telephone enquiries in a busy environment
  • Ability to work effectively in an environment with frequent interruptions
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information in line with GDPR and the Data Protection Act
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the role
  • Flexible approach to working hours where service needs require
