We're recruiting for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join one of Europe's leading data centre contractors on a major hyperscale data centre project in Blyth, England.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the full Electrical scope on a flagship mission-critical project, managing installation, coordination, commissioning, and delivery from construction through to handover.
As Electrical Project Manager, you will lead electrical delivery across the project, managing subcontractors, engineers, supervisors, and key stakeholders to ensure works are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and oversee all electrical installation activities across the project lifecycle.
• Lead electrical project delivery from design coordination through to commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate electrical design, technical submissions, and construction activities with internal teams and subcontractors.
• Manage subcontractor performance, productivity, and progress against programme requirements.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, look-ahead plans, and key milestones.
• Coordinate labour, materials, plant, and resources to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Engage with clients, consultants, vendors, and project stakeholders to maintain effective communication.
• Lead and mentor electrical engineers, package managers, supervisors, and site teams.
• Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental requirements.
• Review and approve project documentation, progress reports, and technical submissions.
• Manage variations, risks, delays, and change control processes.
• Chair weekly coordination meetings with project stakeholders, including engineers, supervisors, QA/QC, BIM, and safety teams.
• Prepare detailed project reports covering progress, programme updates, procurement, risks, and commercial matters.
• Support testing, commissioning, and final project handover activities.
Requirements
• Minimum 10 years’ experience managing large-scale Electrical projects.
• Strong background delivering major electrical packages within Data Centre, Mission Critical, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Commercial, or Infrastructure projects.
• Trade or Engineering qualification preferred.
• Proven experience managing electrical subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong understanding of electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and construction methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing project programmes, budgets, resources, and delivery targets.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-performance construction environment
