Teaching Assistant - Band 4 Wrap- Provision

Beginning and end of the school day (Wraparound Provision)

September 2026 - 15 hours fixed term for 5 terms

Newsham Primary School is seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and caring Wraparound Teaching Assistant to support our before and after school provision.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a committed team focused on providing a safe, engaging and nurturing environment for our pupils beyond the school day.

The successful candidate will work as part of our wraparound team, supporting children during breakfast club and after-school provision. You will help to plan and deliver a range of stimulating activities, promote positive behaviour, ensure children's wellbeing and safety, and contribute to creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. We are looking for a candidate who has some experience of working with SEN pupils.

• Has experience of working with primary-aged children.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is enthusiastic, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Can build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Can support children's social, emotional and developmental needs through play and structured activities.
