The role is offered on a temporary to permanent basis, giving you the opportunity to secure a long-term career within a supportive and rewarding environment.
About the Role
You will work alongside teaching staff and support students with a range of additional needs, helping them engage in education and develop the confidence and skills needed for their future.
Support will include:

Providing classroom support within groups of up to 10 students.
Delivering targeted one-to-one and one-to-three interventions.

Building positive relationships that encourage personal growth and success.
Promoting a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment.

Is patient, resilient and able to remain calm under pressure.
Can build positive relationships with young people.
Has excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
Is confident working independently and as part of a team.
Has an understanding of supporting young people with additional needs, SEMH or challenging behaviour.
Is flexible and able to work across both the Blyth and Consett sites.
Experience in education is welcomed but not essential. We would also love to hear from applicants with backgrounds in youth work, residential care, coaching, mentoring, customer service, the Armed Forces, emergency services, security, support work or other roles where building relationships and managing challenging situations are key.
What you'll receive

A rewarding role where no two days are the same.
Ongoing support from an experienced and welcoming team.
The chance to make a lasting difference to the lives of young people.
