Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by sterilizing instruments and arranging surgical supplies
• Assist surgeons and surgical team members during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment
• Ensure all surgical equipment is functioning properly and ready for use
• Monitor patient vital signs and comfort levels during procedures
• Follow strict infection control protocols and safety standards
• Document surgical procedures and equipment usage accurately
• Support preoperative and postoperative patient care as needed

Skills and

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist or equivalent (CST preferred)
• Prior experience in a surgical or sterile environment
• Knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization techniques, and operating room protocols
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations
• Basic life support (BLS) certification is a plus
