- $15/hr - $25/hr
- Receive and understand welding symbols and select proper welding materials for fitting, painting, and shipping.
- Locate pieces approved by Quality Control for welding. Gather necessary equipment.
- Clean welded pieces for further processing.
- Adhere to all safety, QA/QC programs, and OSHA regulations.
- Work overtime and maintain punctual attendance.
- Perform additional functions as needed.
- 1-2 years of welding experience required.
- Ability to read welding symbols and structural drawings.
- Pass a tape measure test.
- Ability to pass unlimited thickness groove plate tests in vertical and overhead positions using FCAW and SMAW.
- Capability to carbon arc gouge the backside of butt joints.
- Lift at least 80 pounds frequently.
- Work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Bend and stoop in difficult welding positions.
- Tolerate temperature changes, dust, and noise.
- All physical demands are essential functions.
This position is deemed ‘safety sensitive.’ Safety is paramount at Lexicon; candidates must demonstrate the ability to uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and standards at all times. This is a condition of employment.
