Join Hibbett as a Sales Associate. The position is non‑exempt hourly ($11.00 – $13.20) and reports to the Store Manager.

Summary

The Sales Associate is responsible for providing quality customer service and driving product sales. They are knowledgeable in each product area or department in our store, uphold all policies and procedures, and fully promote each sale and/or promotion. As an ambassador of the organization and brand, the Associate creates a unique customer experience that helps acquire and retain long‑time customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver extraordinary customer service as outlined in the customer service manual, including greeting customers upon entry and assisting multiple customers during peak periods.
  • Promote and sell merchandise and services offered by Hibbett.
  • Set and track sales goals, continuously improving selling skills.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the operations policy manual, personnel policy manual, visual manual, and memos.
  • Assist with daily store operations such as completing work lists, conducting clean‑up lists, managing weekly shipments, and maintaining store upkeep.
  • Present merchandise to customers using guidance from the product knowledge manual.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and objectives.
  • Communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational issues to store management.
  • Attend all staff meetings and training clinics.
  • Protect company assets and financial information by applying internal control procedures and reporting potential fraud risks.

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of customer service experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Self‑starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being prompted.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Team‑player passionate about outstanding customer service and merchandising.

Benefits: FLSA Non‑Exempt; hourly pay $11.00–$13.20.
