Registered Nurse; RN Pre-Operative; Part-Time

Southwoods Health is hiring a part‑time RN to work in Pre‑Op at The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods in Boardman, Ohio. The successful candidate will safely provide and guide direct care of the patient in the pre‑operative setting, including, but not limited to, the implementation of plans of care, delivery of interventions, and medication administration.

• Participate as a team member in support of patient outcomes and experiences.
• Plan care in order to meet the needs of the patient safely and effectively.
• Consider cost containment by using resources appropriately.
• Maintain patient privacy and ensure confidentiality of protected information.
• Monitor for changes in patient condition and carry out ordered interventions appropriately.
• Accurately document patient condition and responses to delivered interventions.
• Keep the multidisciplinary team updated as to progress toward goals of care.
• Participate in facility trainings and learning opportunities.
• Ensure all processes at the responsible physician practice maintain compliance with all regulatory agencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• RN with an active license in the State of Ohio.
• BLS and ACLS certification through AHA (American Heart Association).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (preferred).
• Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Leadership skills and ability to appropriately delegate.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to articulately document clinical pictures.
• Prioritization and time management skills.
• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

• Job Type: Part‑time, 3 days per week.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday–Friday, 5:15 a.m.–1:45 p.m.
