Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) ENT

Southwoods Health is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in our ENT Office in Boardman, Ohio. Will work with his/her team and partners with the physician and/or other health care professionals to evaluate and provide high quality patient care. Is trained and responsible for performing a wide range of skilled administrative and clinical duties.

  • Create a welcoming, friendly, and professional environment for patients and visitors through exceptional customer service.
  • Schedule clinical procedures.
  • Assist physicians with clinical procedures within the scope of practice.
  • Completes required EOC rounds.
  • Monitor results from diagnostic testing and send to ordering physician as appropriate.
  • Interact with patient(s) and inform them of results per physician instructions; responsible to order additional testing or schedule follow-up appointments, as necessary.
  • Answer incoming calls and answer messages from patients regarding medical concerns.
  • Process requests for prescription refills through EMR.
  • Perform POC testing as ordered, per policy.
  • Compile orders, reports, and labs for hospital procedures and fax to appropriate destination.
  • Additional duties as assigned in order to accomplish the mission and goals of the organization.
  • Ensure all processes at responsible physician practice maintains compliance with all regulatory agencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Current LPN license in the state of Ohio.
  • Current AHA BLS certification.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to handle several priorities at once.
  • Great degree of flexibility and organizational skill as priorities will change frequently.
  • Maintain professional demeanor at all times, strong ethical and moral principles.
  • Previous EMR experience, preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience directly related to patient care.
  • 3 years’ experience working in a physician’s office or ambulatory setting.

Full-time. Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. No evenings or weekends.
