Southwoods Health is seeking a professional Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Endocrinology office in Boardman, Ohio. You will collaborate with a dedicated clinical team and partner with physicians to provide high نقصان-quality care to patients with endocrine disorders. This role requires a balance of skilled clinical interventions and essential administrative support.
Essential Duties- Monitor clinical phone lines to ensure timely answering and follow up with patient clinical needs and communicate to patient’s care team.
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures within the LPN scope of practice; perform Point of Care (POC) testing as ordered per policy.
- Answer clinical inquiries and messages regarding medical concerns; inform patients of diagnostic results per physician instructions.
- Schedule clinical procedures and follow-up appointments; monitor diagnostic results and relay them to the ordering physician.
- Process prescription refill requests accurately through the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Compile orders, lab reports, and records for hospital procedures; ensure all processes maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Create a welcoming, professional atmosphere; complete required Environment of Care (EOC) rounds to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Interact with patients with a high degree of empathy and professionalism, upholding the Southwoods mission.
- Ensure all practice processes maintain compliance with regulatory agencies and uphold HIPAA standards.
- Licensure:
Current, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Ohio. - Certification:
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification. - Experience:
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in direct patient care.
- 3 years of experience in a physician’s office or ambulatory urlencode setting is highly preferred.
- Previous EMR experience is preferred.
- Skills:
Excellent organizational skills with the flexibility to handle changing priorities; strong ethical principles and a professional demeanor.
