Asset Protection Specialist

The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store(s). They utilize tools to minimize loss to the Company, including identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the store’s physical security, auditing the Electronic Article Surveillance, and driving a shrink-elimination culture in the store.

• Prevent financial loss due to theft and fraud and support safety and environmental program compliance in assigned store(s).
• Utilize tools to minimize loss, including identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring physical security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance, and promoting a shrink-elimination culture.
• Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries; preserve evidence; interact with law enforcement; testify in criminal and civil court actions.
• Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty; carry out responsibilities in a manner that minimizes risk of injury to self, others, vendors, customers, and the Company.
• Demonstrate integrity at all times; respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates; remain focused on store-specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities.
