Overview
The following statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements, which may be inherent in the position.
Under the supervision and collaboration of a physician hospitalist, the nurse practitioner provides comprehensive direct patient care and practice include obtaining comprehensive patient histories, performing complete physical examinations, order and performing diagnostic testing and screening, diagnosing illness, prescribing both pharmacological and other treatments for patients, and providing health maintenance and promotion inventions such as patient and family education and counseling.
Providing continuous care and coverage for hospitalized patients during the night, including admissions, discharges, and addressing any emergent needs.
This will be a night position (7p-7a) and will be 7 nights on and 7 nights off.
Qualifications- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Must have a current registered nurse license in the State of Alabama, with designation: CRNP, current ACLS provider.
- Graduate of an approved program for Nurse Practitioners
- Certified to render care to patients in adult age groups
