Accounting Specialist

Our client is a stable, profitable, private-equity-backed organization seeking a hands‑on Accounting Specialist to take ownership of its day‑to‑day accounting and monthly close process.

Responsibilities

• Own the month‑end close
  , including journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
• Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts, including cash, AR, AP, inventory, fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, and deferred revenue.
• Manage hands‑on accounting activities including AP, payroll entries, fixed assets, and cash activity
  .
• Support the annual audit
  , tax reporting, budgeting, and ad‑hoc financial analysis.
• Maintain accurate and timely accounting records within Quick Books Online
  .

Qualifications

• Hands‑on accounting experience with demonstrated ownership of the full month‑end close process
  .
• Strong Quick Books Online and Excel skills required.
• Experience preparing financial statements and performing detailed balance sheet reconciliations.
• Hands‑on experience with AP, payroll, and audit support
  .
• Self‑starter who is organized, responsive, professional, and comfortable working independently in a lean accounting environment.
