Director of Finance And Accounting

A growing commercial real estate firm in the Boca Raton area is seeking a Director of Finance to lead its property accounting, financial reporting, and investor reporting functions. This is a hands‑on leadership role for a finance professional who can build and develop a strong team while improving processes, controls, and reporting quality.

• Lead property accounting, financial reporting, and investor reporting activities.
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate, timely financial statements.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting and finance team.
• Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting systems.
• Partner with senior leadership on financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, reporting requirements, and best practices.
• Support investor communications and provide clear, high-quality financial information to internal and external stakeholders.

• 8+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience
  , with significant experience within commercial real estate.
• Proven experience leading and developing an accounting or finance team.
• Strong understanding of property accounting and real estate financial reporting.
• Demonstrated success improving processes, controls, and reporting infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• CPA highly preferred.
• Experience with Yardi or other commercial real estate accounting systems is a plus.
