Financial Reporting Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced accounting professional to oversee financial reporting, SEC compliance, SOX controls, technical accounting, and process improvement within a publicly traded organization. This is a hands-on individual contributor role supporting senior accounting leadership, with no direct reports.

• Prepare and review quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K, financial statements, disclosures, and supporting reporting materials.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, PCAOB standards, and applicable reporting requirements.
• Support SOX 404 compliance, including internal control documentation, testing, risk assessments, and remediation activities.
• Research and evaluate complex technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition, SaaS, cloud services, business combinations, leases, stock-based compensation, and new accounting standards.
• Review customer contracts and agreements for appropriate revenue recognition treatment.
• Coordinate external audits and serve as a technical accounting resource for auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accounting policies and identify opportunities to improve financial reporting, close processes, controls, and compliance through automation and process improvements.

• Active CPA license required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting and technical accounting experience, including at least 5 years of public company reporting and SOX compliance.
• Big Four or national public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, SOX 404, PCAOB standards, and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, Microsoft Dynamics, and advanced Excel.
• Technology, software, SaaS, IT services, cloud computing, or managed services industry experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
