Business Analyst

Seg Pay is looking for a Business Analyst to join our Product & Technology team and serve as a key connection between business stakeholders and our technical teams.

In this role, you'll help translate complex business and payment-processing needs into clear requirements, user stories, workflows, and actionable solutions. You'll work closely with Product Owners, Development, and QA throughout the software development lifecycle-from defining requirements through testing and implementation.

• Partner with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements
• Create user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional documentation
• Partner with Product Owners to maintain and refine the product backlog
• Facilitate requirements discussions and workshops with business and technical teams
• Analyze payment and financial processes, including settlement, chargebacks, reconciliation, and fees
• Develop test plans and test cases based on business requirements
• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Identify, document, and help resolve defects
• Create process and data maps to support system improvements
• Assist with root-cause analysis of production issues
• Provide project updates and support training or knowledge-transfer activities

The role combines requirements analysis, payment-process analysis, testing, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration throughout the SDLC.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• 3-5 years of Business Analyst experience
  , preferably within payments, financial services, or fintech
• Strong experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements
• Experience creating user stories and acceptance criteria
• Experience working in an Agile environment and partnering with Product Owners
• Experience with software testing and UAT
• Strong understanding of payment workflows and financial transaction processes
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills

Experience working with financial transactional data
, Jira, Confluence, Azure Dev Ops, advanced Excel, or SQL would be especially valuable in this position.
