• Plan, manage, and oversee construction management activities on small to medium routine construction projects or a single large project or multiple‑contract routine projects.
• Direct day‑to‑day activities of construction representatives and construction coordinators on projects.
• Become familiar with project contract documents and coordinate and control assigned activities, including critical path method (CPM), scheduling and claims administration.
• Interpret plans and specifications for clients, contractors, and the company’s field personnel.
• Identify and communicate project deficiencies, expected cost overruns, material issues, and any other related construction issues or risks within the area of oversight.
• Prepare related reports (e.g., monthly progress reports) and maintain a daily report of construction activities; provide direction to shop drawing professionals to develop project‑related shop drawings.
• Coordinate and disseminate shop drawings to project stakeholders as necessary.
• Provide internal consultation to construction representatives and serve as a technical resource to other functional groups.
• Review government or funding agency regulations to provide consultative services that reflect an up‑to‑date knowledge and understanding of legal requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 4 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Experience overseeing heavy civil construction projects, particularly those involving earthworks and concrete.

• Working knowledge of construction management processes, methods, and techniques.
• Knowledge of construction products, details, relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
• Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
• Good time and project management skills.
• Ability to analyze, problem‑solve, and mitigate risks.
