Technical Purchaser

We are looking for a Technical Purchaser to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. By joining us, you will contribute to building the first large scale battery factories in Asia, Europe and the United States.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Purchaser to manage the sourcing and procurement of make-to-order (MTO) and OEM parts. This role involves identifying reliable suppliers, obtaining quotations, placing orders, and closely following up with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.

• Source vendors for make-to-order (MTO) and OEM parts based on technical specifications or drawings provided by engineering
• Request and evaluate quotations from multiple suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and lead times
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers in alignment with company targets
• Issue purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation is maintained for audit and tracking purposes
• Monitor and track order status; proactively follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery
• Liaise with internal stakeholders (engineering, production, quality) to clarify requirements and provide regular status updates
• Address any delays, discrepancies, or quality issues in coordination with vendors and internal teams
• Maintain supplier performance records and support vendor evaluations
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the procurement process
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures

• A bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Economics/Administration or equivalent
• 2–4 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Experience with make-to-order or custom part procurement is highly desirable
• Familiarity with technical specifications and ability to read basic engineering drawings is a plus
• Excellent analytical, numerical and problem solving skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and SAP is required
• A strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (note other languages can be requested based on the location)
