Position OverviewThe Junior Project Manager will support the execution of construction projects from award through installation, start-up, and commissioning. Projects primarily include wastewater treatment systems ranging from approximately 25,000 GPD to 2.0 MGD, along with water storage tank installations. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional seeking hands-on exposure and mentorship in project management within the water and wastewater construction industry.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with coordinating internal teams and third-party vendors to support project execution
- Support delivery of projects on schedule, within scope, and aligned with budget targets
- Help define project scope and objectives in collaboration with technical and operational stakeholders
- Work alongside senior leadership to support resource planning and allocation
- Maintain project schedules and documentation to track progress and milestones
- Assist with project reporting and performance tracking
- Support client communication and stakeholder coordination throughout the project lifecycle
- Participate in risk identification and mitigation planning
- Help manage vendor and subcontractor relationships
- Prepare and maintain organized project files and documentation
- 1–3 years of experience in construction, water/wastewater, or related engineering environments
- Basic understanding of construction project phases, including mechanical, electrical, and civil components
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); MS Project exposure is a plus
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and jobsite compliance
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or construction drawings is beneficial
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Willingness to travel as needed (primarily domestic, with occasional international exposure)
- Plant Operator license or concrete experience is a plus, but not required
