MDVIP is seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy. This role supports the integrity of our financial reporting by performing key month‑end close activities, preparing and reconciling general ledger accounts, and assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements.

The Staff Accountant will strengthen internal controls and collaborate across departments to resolve financial inquiries and improve processes. This position reports to the Assistant Controller.

• Perform timely and accurate bank reconciliations and investigate variances as needed.
• Compile, analyze, and interpret financial information to support month‑end and quarter‑end close activities.
• Prepare, post, and review journal entries while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial data.
• Obtain an understanding of and complete balance sheet reconciliations with proper documentation and resolution of discrepancies.
• Manage fixed assets, including additions, disposals, depreciation schedules, and monthly reconciliation.
• Assist in establishing, documenting, and improving accounting procedures and internal controls to enhance process efficiency and accuracy.
• Support audits by preparing schedules, providing documentation, and resolving inquiries.
• Assist with other ad hoc deliverables and projects as needed, including administrative tasks and set‑up in company platforms.

• Knowledge and application of GAAP.

Springfield degree in accounting from a four‑year college or university and at least two years of related business experience; public accounting experience or experience at a public company with SEC reporting highly desired. Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to produce accurate and timely output.
